How Cycle & Cosmos works

Build your personal menstrual + lunar history

Cycle & Cosmos brings your menstrual cycle, the Moon and your own daily reflections into one timeline. You record the first and last day of your period, optionally note how you feel, and the service builds a personal history that becomes more meaningful with every completed cycle.

Record your period→Follow cycle + Moon→Add reflections→Complete a cycle→Receive a report→Build your lunar pattern
1

Start with your cycle

Enter the first day of your most recent period, your usual cycle length, your usual period length and your location. Your usual lengths are only starting estimates; your real averages update from the periods you record.

2

Record each new period

When menstrual bleeding begins, record β€œMy period started”. That date becomes Cycle Day 1. When bleeding finishes, record β€œMy period ended” so your period length stays accurate.

3

The Moon is tracked automatically

You never need to enter lunar data. Every calendar day carries its Moon phase, illumination and position within the lunar cycle, so your menstrual history can be viewed beside the Moon.

4

Add Daily Reflections

Whenever you want, record mood, energy, sensitivity, sleep, physical feelings, flow and personal notes. Your saved state appears back in the calendar and can be opened and edited later.

5

Receive your first report

Your first Cycle & Moon Report appears after one complete menstrual cycle. When the next period begins, the previous cycle closes and its lunar alignment can be summarized.

6

See patterns grow over time

After several cycles, your reports and Lunar Alignment Wheel can show whether period starts repeatedly fall near New Moon, Full Moon, waxing Moon, waning Moon, or shift between different lunar regions.

Your current cycle day, estimated next period, personal average cycle length, shortest and longest recorded cycles, current lunar pattern and today’s Moon phase appear together in one view.

🩸
My period started

Use this on the first day of menstrual bleeding. It starts a new menstrual cycle and, when there is a previous cycle, closes it for reporting.

βœ“
My period ended

Mark the final day of bleeding so your period length and history stay accurate.

☾
Moon data is automatic

The Moon phase and illumination are calculated for you; you do not need to enter lunar information.

Daily reflection

How do you feel today?

Daily Reflection adds your own experience to the menstrual + lunar timeline. It is optional: record only what feels useful, and return later to edit any saved day.

You do not have to check in every day.

Daily Reflection is optional. You can record only the days that matter to you, and you do not need to complete every field.

Body + Moon history

July 2028

Your calendar keeps period days, cycle days, Moon phases and saved reflections on one timeline. Recorded days can be opened again later, so your history is not just stored β€” it stays readable.

What will your calendar show?

After unlocking, each recorded day can show your cycle day, period status, Moon phase and illumination. If you saved a Daily Reflection, mood emoji, energy and note indicators appear directly on the date. Tap that date to read the full reflection or edit it later.

Long-term lunar pattern

Lunar Alignment Wheel

The wheel places each recorded period start around the 29.53-day lunar cycle. It becomes more informative as your personal history grows.

What conclusions can the wheel help you see?

Over several cycles you can see whether period starts repeatedly occur near New Moon, Full Moon, the waxing half or the waning half of the lunar cycle β€” or whether they move around without one clear recurring cluster.

Your conclusions

Cycle & Moon Reports

This is where your written conclusions appear. Reports are created from completed menstrual cycles β€” not from calendar months.

After 1 completed cycleYour first Cycle & Moon Report can be created when your next period begins and closes the previous cycle.
After about 3 cyclesYour recent cycle starts can begin forming an Emerging Lunar Pattern for comparison.
After 6+ cyclesYour longer history gives a stronger view of your personal Lunar Rhythm and whether it stays stable or shifts.
When exactly will you receive the first conclusion?

Suppose your period begins on August 26. That is the start of a menstrual cycle. When your next period begins, for example on September 24, the August 26 β†’ September 23 cycle is complete. At that point Cycle & Cosmos can create the first written Cycle & Moon Report.

☾
Moon at cycle start

The report looks at Moon phase, illumination, lunar position and how close the cycle start was to New Moon or Full Moon.

β†—
Waxing or waning

It records which half of the lunar rhythm your period start occurred within and compares that with later cycles.

πŸ“Š
Your menstrual cycle facts

Cycle length, period length and the timing of successive period starts form the core menstrual history.

😊
Your reflections as context

If you recorded mood, energy, sensitivity, sleep, physical feelings or notes, those observations can add personal context to the report.

β—Ž
Compare multiple cycles

As history grows, reports can describe whether several recent period starts are appearing in the same lunar region or shifting between regions.

πŸ“–
Where do you read conclusions?

The latest written conclusion appears in Cycle Reports. Older cycle information remains available in History, while the Lunar Alignment Wheel gives the visual long-term view.

What stays in your history?

Recorded period starts and ends, cycle days, Moon phases, illumination, Daily Reflections and your completed Cycle & Moon Reports. Your history is designed to become more useful over months and years rather than disappearing after a short window.
