This postcard, dated April 1917, captures four German soldiers in uniform posing in a forest setting during World War I. The men stand on a makeshift path of logs, with conifer trees around them, likely indicating a temporary military camp in the woods. Their relaxed stances suggest a moment of calm, possibly between duties or during downtime in the field.
The reverse side of the postcard is blank, with only "April 17" handwritten in pencil, marking the time when the photograph was taken.
