BOUILLET ET BOURDELLE art deco - Coffee and tea service (5) - Silverplated

The Bouillet et Bourdelle Art Deco coffee and tea service set, silverplated and consisting of five pieces, exemplifies early 20th-century luxury tableware. This era favored streamlined geometric forms and elegant surfaces, with silverplating providing the look and feel of silver at a more accessible cost. Coffee and tea services played a central role in social rituals, and owning a coordinated set was a mark of refinement. Art Deco design influenced such services with stylized motifs and symmetry, combining practical function with ornamental appeal. Collectors value these sets for their craftsmanship and representation of interwar period aesthetics.
