CMR's 1:43 scale model of the Porsche 917 K, representing the 24h Le Mans 1970 car driven by Hobbs and Hailwood, honors one of the most legendary endurance race cars ever produced. The Porsche 917 series was pivotal in establishing Porsche's dominance in international racing during the late 1960s and early 70s. The 'K' configuration featured a short-tail design optimizing high-speed performance. This model painstakingly replicates the car's iconic livery, bodywork, and race-specific aerodynamic details. Collectors prize such models for their tribute to historic motorsport achievements and the artistry of race car design. The 917's blend of engineering innovation and competitive success made it a symbol of racing excellence, captured here in scale form.
