Commode - Burrwood

A commode made from burrwood is a distinctive and decorative furniture piece valued for its unique grain pattern. Burrwood, also known as burl wood, forms from abnormal tree growths, producing swirling and highly figured grain prized in fine woodworking. Commodes offer storage with drawers or cabinets, often serving as statement pieces in bedrooms or living areas. The use of burrwood elevates the piece's visual appeal, combining utility with artistry. Such furniture typically showcases the wood’s natural beauty sealed under varnish or lacquer, attracting collectors and interior designers focused on rich textures and natural patterns.
