Conley Folding Plate Camera 5x7 – Automatic – Working Shutter | Analogue camera

The Conley Folding Plate Camera 5x7 is a large format analogue camera notable for its portability and craftsmanship. Folding plate cameras were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for their compactness, allowing photographers to transport large format equipment more easily. The 5x7 designation refers to the size of the photographic plates it uses, producing high-resolution images with exceptional detail and tonal range. An automatic working shutter enhances exposure control, a sophisticated feature for its time. Such cameras appeal to collectors and fine art photographers who value large format processes, including the ability to make contact prints and extensive image manipulations. The Conley brand is recognized for quality manufacturing during its era.
