Decorative ornament (2) - Kubus - Netherlands - Henny radish cube

This listing refers to two decorative ornaments identified as Kubus (cube) forms by Henny Radijs from the Netherlands. The cube shape, or 'kubus' in Dutch, is a commonly favored motif in modern and contemporary ceramic and glass art due to its simplicity and structural clarity. Henny Radijs is a respected figure in Dutch ceramics, often blending traditional craftsmanship with modernist design principles. Owning two such cubes likely means the pair complements each other, either through differing glazes, sizes, or textures, which is common in collectible ceramics. These objects exemplify the Dutch approach to minimalist and geometric design in decorative arts, where function meets abstract aesthetics, making them suitable for display in modern homes or galleries. As studio pieces, they may carry the artist's signature or marks, which adds to their value for collectors. The repeated cube motif highlights a fascination with form and balance, typical in post-20th-century ceramic design.
