Figurine - Maria Bambina in campana di vetro - 30 cm - blown

The Maria Bambina figurine depicts the Infant Mary, a devotional subject particularly cherished in Catholic tradition as a symbol of purity and innocence. This artwork, standing 30 cm tall and encased within a blown glass bell jar ('campana di vetro'), protects and accentuates the delicacy of the figure. Blown glass bell jars are crafted by skilled glassblowers, shaping molten glass into a protective dome that both preserves and elevates the presence of contained objects. Figurines like Maria Bambina are often used in personal or church devotional spaces, serving as tangible focal points for prayer or remembrance. The combination of fine sculpture and delicate glasswork reflects a blend of artistry and spirituality, highlighting the care devoted to religious iconography and display traditions in different cultures.
