Fon Fetish - Benin (No reserve price)

A Fon fetish from Benin represents a religious or protective object connected to the Fon people of Benin in West Africa. Fetishes, known locally as "vodun," serve as vessels for spiritual power, often believed to embody protective or curative energies. These objects are typically carved or assembled from various materials, including wood, metal, and organic elements, and used in rituals to communicate with ancestors or spirits. The Fon culture is deeply entwined with Vodun religious practices, and their fetishes hold cultural and spiritual significance. Beyond their ritual use, such items are collected as representative artifacts of West African spirituality and artistry.
