Hachette 1:8 - Model coupé (2) - Trabant 601 Deluxe + Würdig 301 Caravan

Hachette's 1:8 scale model set of the Trabant 601 Deluxe alongside the Würdig 301 Caravan offers a detailed glimpse into East German automotive life. The Trabant 601 Deluxe was the more upscale variant of the standard Trabant, featuring modest enhancements in trim and comfort. The Würdig 301 Caravan represents one of the popular trailer or caravan designs used for leisure travel in the same era. Together, these models not only emphasize the modest means but also the aspirations of holiday travel behind the Iron Curtain. Such large-scale, finely detailed models are valuable for collectors interested in social history, automotive design, and the cultural context of the GDR period.
