Hanging lamp - Metal - Capiz shell pieces (Placuna placenta)

Hanging lamps made with Capiz shells, sourced from the Placuna placenta oyster, are exquisite lighting fixtures that create a soft, ambient glow due to the translucent quality of the shells. Capiz shell lighting is traditionally crafted by stringing or assembling thin, flat pieces of the shell into various shapes that maximize light diffusion. These lamps blend natural materials and artisanal techniques with functional design, often associated with coastal or bohemian interiors. Metal frames provide structural support while highlighting the delicate beauty of the shells. Such lamps are prized for their ability to bring a subtle, ethereal elegance and texture to interior spaces, balancing organic aesthetics with crafted artistry.
