Hosta 'Wide Brim' is a standout herbaceous perennial known for its bold, variegated foliage and impressive size. The large, heart-shaped leaves feature a striking contrast between dark green centers and wide, creamy-yellow margins that brighten over time. This eye-catching variegation creates a stunning display, particularly in partial to full shade gardens.

Growing up to 45 cm tall and spreading to around 90 cm, this medium-sized hosta makes a bold statement in the garden, especially when used as a focal point in borders or woodland areas. In late spring to early summer, it produces tall flower spikes with bell-shaped lavender blooms that add a soft touch of color to the overall look.

Hosta 'Wide Brim' thrives in moist, well-drained soil and does best in shaded or partially shaded locations. Its robust growth and striking foliage make it a wonderful choice for adding texture, structure, and visual interest to any garden, particularly in shady spots where other plants might struggle to thrive. It’s low-maintenance, deer-resistant, and ideal for creating a lush, elegant garden space.

Many garden designers recommend planting Hosta in groups of three for a balanced, cohesive look. It helps the plants stand out together and creates a lovely flow in your garden. But don't worry—this plant also looks great on its own or in smaller groupings!
