"L'épée de cristal" (The Crystal Sword) is a German edition album titled "Das Kristall-Schwert Die Hand der Mangrove." Published in 2002, this work belongs to the tradition of European graphic novels or albums, often known for their intricate artwork and storytelling. The title suggests a fantasy or adventure theme centering around a mystical sword and possibly a narrative involving a place called the Mangrove or a significant hand symbol. These types of albums are popular in the Franco-Belgian comics tradition, where high-quality oversized prints and durable binding are common. The inclusion of a commission drawing in this edition adds uniqueness and collector interest, as commissioned art often means custom or original artwork made especially for a buyer or specific edition. Such editions appeal to dedicated fans and collectors who appreciate the intersection of narrative art and original artwork. Given its publication date and language, it contributes to the diverse landscape of European fantasy-themed graphic storytelling early in the 21st century.
