Loetz - Cookie jar - Glass, Brass

Loetz is a celebrated manufacturer of Art Nouveau and Art Deco glassware, known for its innovative techniques and luxurious designs. A Loetz cookie jar typically combines glass artistry with brass accents, reflecting the fusion of utility and decoration characteristic of early 20th-century decorative arts. The glass components often feature iridescent or opalescent finishes, achieved through chemical treatments that give the surface a shimmering, multi-colored quality. Such pieces exemplify the period's fascination with organic forms and surface textures, making them sought-after collectibles today. Cookie jars in this style not only serve domestic storage needs but also act as statement objects that highlight the craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibilities of the Loetz company.
