Märklin H0 - 39445 - Electric locomotive (1) - E 44.5 (Insider 2021) - DB

The Märklin H0 scale electric locomotive E 44.5, released as the Insider 2021 edition, represents a modern, collectible update of a historic German electric locomotive. The E 44 class was originally introduced in the 1930s as a compact, efficient electric locomotive designed primarily for freight and passenger duties on secondary lines. In model form, the E 44.5 variant reflects refinements and specific service characteristics. Märklin, a leading model train manufacturer, produces Insider editions as exclusive, limited-run models designed for collectors, featuring superior detailing, special liveries, and sometimes upgraded mechanisms. The designation 'DB' indicates its historical operation under Deutsche Bahn. This model combines authentic engineering with collectible appeal, suitable for hobbyists focusing on German railway history or limited-edition showcases. Its presence enriches model railways with a piece of mid-20th century electric traction heritage.
