Märklin Z - 88179 - Train set (1) - 2-piece set with BR 103 and BR 120 in ocean blue with cream - DB

This Märklin Z scale train set includes two locomotives: the BR 103 and the BR 120, each finished in a distinctive ocean blue and cream livery, representing models operated by Deutsche Bahn (DB). Märklin's Z scale trains are among the smallest commercially available, measuring 1:220 in scale, offering enthusiasts the ability to build expansive railway layouts in confined spaces. The BR 103 was an iconic German electric locomotive, notable for its streamlined design and use on high-speed express services from the 1970s. The BR 120, on the other hand, was one of the earliest German locomotives to use three-phase AC synchronous motors, marking a leap in traction technology during the late 1980s. Collecting these models provides both historical value and a basis for understanding the technological advancements in German rail travel. The set appeals to modelers focusing on detailed and compact layouts with accurate locomotive representations.
