Märklin Z - 88744 - Steam locomotive with tender (1) - BR 64 - DB

The Märklin Z scale BR 64 steam locomotive with tender is a highly detailed model representing one of Germany's classic tank engines. The BR 64, known as the 'Bubikopf,' was widely used by the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) primarily for passenger and freight services on branch lines. Characterized by its 2-6-0 wheel arrangement, the locomotive was valued for its reliability and versatility. Märklin's Z scale models are produced at a 1:220 ratio, making them among the smallest commercially available, perfect for collectors and modelers with limited space. This model includes the tender, which in steam locomotives carries coal and water necessary for operation, adding to the authenticity. Märklin is renowned for its precision engineering and quality finishes, offering enthusiasts a miniature representation that captures both the technical and historical aspects of the BR 64 locomotive.
