Netherlands - 22 Nederlandse vijfjes en 2 tientjes BU kwaliteit - Commemorative token

Commemorative tokens from the Netherlands often celebrate important national events, figures, or milestones, serving as collectible items that highlight Dutch cultural and historical heritage. The Dutch currency system historically included denominations such as the "vijfje" (five) and "tientje" (ten), which were commonly used colloquial terms for five and ten guilders respectively before the adoption of the Euro. BU quality stands for "Brilliant Uncirculated," indicating that these tokens maintain their original mint condition with no wear, retaining sharp details and lustrous surfaces. Such sets are of interest to numismatists who appreciate both the artistry and the historical context of Dutch coinage and commemorative issues, which sometimes feature symbols, crowns, or notable national landmarks.
