Netherlands, Deventer Noodgeld van 1/2 Stuiver 1578 met klop A3 Stadwapen in PGCS slab MS62 RB
The 1578 emergency money (Noodgeld) half Stuiver from Deventer, Netherlands, represents a rare category of municipal-issued currency used during times of crisis, often when official coin circulation was short. This half Stuiver coin bears the city’s coat of arms and other distinctive marks, encapsulated in a modern PCGS slab graded MS62 RB (Mint State with Red/Brown toning). Such pieces are valuable to collectors due to their historical narrative, rarity, and preservation state, highlighting late 16th-century Dutch monetary history.
