Not to scale - Model ship - Modello decorativo di veliero a tre alberi

This decorative three-masted sailing ship model, assembled not to scale, serves primarily as an ornamental piece rather than a precise scale replica. Such models are appreciated for their aesthetic appeal, featuring classic tall ship characteristics like multiple square-rigged sails, intricate rigging, and detailed hulls. Models of this type often draw inspiration from historical sailing ships used from the 16th to 19th centuries, vessels central to exploration, trade, and naval warfare. While not dimensionally accurate for modeling purposes, decorative ship models contribute to maritime-themed decor and can spark interest in nautical history. They are popular gifts and display items for enthusiasts appreciating traditional maritime symbolism and craftsmanship, combining artistry with nautical heritage.
