Philippines. Silver 1 Peso (25th Anniversary of Bataan Day) Coin 1967 (No reserve price)
This 1967 silver 1 Peso coin from the Philippines commemorates the 25th anniversary of Bataan Day, a significant event remembered annually to honor the bravery of the Filipino and American soldiers during the Bataan Death March in World War II. Bataan Day marks the surrender of Allied forces in 1942 and their subsequent forced march under harsh conditions, a somber and pivotal moment in Philippine and American wartime history. Coins issued on such anniversaries often blend numismatic value with historical remembrance, engaging collectors interested in military history and Southeast Asian heritage.
