Roco H0 - 44358 - Model train passenger carriage (2) - WLABmh sleeping cars with stars and moon - SBB

The Roco H0 scale model passenger carriages numbered 44358 depict the WLABmh sleeping cars, a classic design used by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). These sleeping cars are characterized by their distinctive star and moon motif, likely representing night travel and restful journeys. The H0 scale, at 1:87, is a standard for railway modeling, offering a good balance of detail and space requirements. Sleeping cars such as the WLABmh offer passengers overnight accommodations in a train, a concept dating back to the 19th century, providing beds and private or semi-private compartments for travelers. Model replicas like these capture the intricate details of windows, doors, roof vents, and often accurate color schemes, reflecting the real cars used on Swiss routes. Collectors and model railway enthusiasts value such models for their realism and connection to European rail history, allowing them to recreate authentic railway scenes from the mid-20th century onwards in their miniature layouts.
