Roxy Music, a seminal English art rock band, released the albums "Manifesto" (1979) and "Avalon" (1982), both of which illustrate their evolving style from glam-influenced art rock to sophisticated, smooth sounds intertwined with new wave and pop elements. "Manifesto" marked a reinvigoration after a hiatus, featuring a more aggressive rock sound, while "Avalon" is praised for its lush production and romantic atmosphere. Japanese pressings of these albums are prized for their high-quality vinyl and detailed packaging, including the iconic OBI strip, which enhances their appeal for collectors globally. These albums embody a stylistic transition in late 70s and early 80s rock and are significant in Roxy Music’s artistic timeline.
