Royal Blue Lapis Lazuli Freeforms Lot of 7 - Height: 92 mm - Width: 29 mm- 620 g - (7)

Lapis lazuli is a deep blue metamorphic rock that has been treasured since antiquity for its intense color and ornamental use in jewelry and art. Its distinctive royal blue color is primarily due to the presence of lazurite, often complemented by flecks of pyrite which add a subtle sparkle, and calcite which may appear as white streaks. Freeform lapis lazuli pieces are shaped and polished to showcase the stone’s natural beauty without adhering to conventional geometric cuts, making each piece unique in shape and pattern. Collectors and artisans value lapis for its historical significance, rich color, and use in decorative carvings, beads, and inlays. The size and weight of the pieces influence their use in jewelry creations or as display specimens.
