Although there are many forms of healing in the world, all depending on the nature of the wound, shamanic healing holds a unique and precious place in the community. Shamans become healers through an initiation into the wound of their times, thereby suffering it and healing themselves. They then may heal others by demonstrating, in their own being, the essential nature of the source from which we all have come and usually forgotten.
