This set contains two Swedish coins: a 2 Kronor from 1942 and a 5 Kronor from 1962, featuring the 80th Anniversary of the Birth of King Gustav VI Adolf. Swedish Kronor coins often celebrate monarchs and significant royal milestones, and coins commemorating Gustav VI Adolf mark his importance as King of Sweden from 1950 until 1973. His reign was noted for the modernization of Sweden and his interest in archaeology. Coins like these are valued for their historical significance as well as the craftsmanship of Swedish mints. Given their age and commemorative nature, they are sought after by collectors interested in Scandinavian history and royal memorabilia.
