The Secret of Kriya Yoga (Kriya Yoga Rahasya): A Panoramic View of the Kriya Yoga of Sri Shyama Charan Lahiri Mahasaya

The Secret of Kriya Yoga (Kriya Yoga Rahasya) is an English translation of a traditional Hindi text from the Kriya Yoga lineage of Lahiri Mahasaya.

This edition is based directly on the original one-volume Hindi source. It has been prepared as an independent English translation to make the text more accessible to a wider audience.

This is not a modern reinterpretation or a technique-based manual. It is a classical work that presents the philosophical foundation and inner meaning of Kriya Yoga as transmitted through the lineage of Sri Shyama Charan Lahiri Mahasaya, Panchanan Bhattacharya, Yogivar Nitai Banerjee, and Maheshwari Prasad Dubey.

Rather than offering shortcuts or simplified formulas, this book guides the reader toward a deeper understanding of Yoga as a path of inner transformation. Its teachings are clear, direct, and accessible—even for those with no prior background.
Inside the book:
* Essential teachings for genuine spiritual development
* A clear explanation of the inner process of Kriya Yoga
* Insight into prana as the central axis of the practice
* A deeper understanding of Dharma, Bhakti, and the role of the Guru
* A presentation of the seven principal kriyas of this lineage, with emphasis on the First Kriya
* Reflections based on the author’s direct experience

The book also includes selected Sanskrit verses (Devanāgarī), with IAST transliteration, English translation, and commentary integrated into the text.

This work is intended both for beginners and for dedicated practitioners who seek a deeper understanding of Kriya Yoga beyond technique—its foundation, its meaning, and its true purpose.
