THE YOGA OF CONNECTION: Patanjali's Wisdom and the Path of Nonviolent Communication | Ancient Wisdom | Modern Practice | Deeper Connection
CONNECTION LIES AT THE HEART OF WHAT WE LONG FOR MOST IN LIFE.
Yet a question has quietly accompanied me through much of my life:
What helps us stay connected to ourselves, to one another, and to life, especially in moments of conflict and disconnection?
Like many of us, I have known the joy of deep connection and the ache of losing it. I have seen how quickly love can give way to hurt, and how easily conversations can slip into blame, defensiveness, or withdrawal.
For me, life has been a generous teacher, though not always a gentle one.
There have been moments when I found myself caught in old patterns, reacting in ways I later regretted. Those moments humbled me and deepened my longing to understand what pulls us apart and what helps us return to connection.
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali offered me a profound understanding of the mind and its patterns. Nonviolent Communication developed by Marshall Rosenberg, helped me bring that wisdom into the messiness and beauty of human relationships.
This book emerged from that journey of inquiry and understanding. As these insights continue to guide and support me in returning to what matters most, my hope is that these pages may also serve as a gentle companion on your own journey toward deeper connection.
