Wall plate - Tin - WMF style, Gänseliesel 353

This wall plate is crafted from tin and styled after WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), a German company famous for its metalware products. WMF style is often associated with high-quality craftsmanship and design, especially around the turn of the 20th century. The reference to 'Gänseliesel 353' suggests a design depicting or inspired by the famous Gänseliesel statue from Göttingen, Germany, which features a girl with geese; an iconic and much-photographed figure. Tin wall plates are decorative items used to add artistic or cultural elements to interior walls, often collected for their aesthetic appeal and historic resonance. The plate represents a blend of regional artistic motifs with metallic craftsmanship, typical of European decorative traditions.
