Wedgwood - Dinner set - Moss Rose - Queen's Ware - bread plate

The Wedgwood Moss Rose dinner set, featuring Queen's Ware plates including bread plates, represents a classic example of English ceramic tableware combining function with refined decoration. Queen's Ware, a fine earthenware introduced by Josiah Wedgwood, is celebrated for its creamy white color and durability. The Moss Rose pattern, characterized by delicate rose motifs, has been a popular design since the mid-20th century, evoking the charm of traditional English floral aesthetics. Bread plates serve as smaller, individual dishes for bread or rolls during formal meals, complementing dinner plates and creating a cohesive table setting. Such dinner sets are frequently collected for their timeless style, quality craftsmanship, and embodiment of British dining customs.
