Asahi Pentax MV black + 2/50 mm lens Single lens reflex camera (SLR)

The Asahi Pentax MV is a compact and lightweight 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) film camera aimed at amateur photographers in the 1970s. Known for its electronic shutter and aperture-priority automatic exposure mode, the MV made photography more accessible while still offering manual override. The black finish adds a sleek aesthetic to the camera body, appealing to enthusiasts who appreciate classic camera design. The typical accompanying 50mm lens provides a versatile focal length that closely resembles natural human vision, making it suitable for a wide range of subjects including portraits and street photography. Cameras like the Pentax MV represent an important step in making SLR technology user-friendly while retaining manual creativity.
