Attribution : Demeyer - Taperstick - chrome-plated metal

The Demeyer taperstick is a decorative candle holder crafted from chrome-plated metal, combining durability with a sleek reflective surface. Tapersticks are slender candlesticks designed to hold taper candles, often used as elegant tabletop accessories. Chrome plating became popular in the 20th century for its shiny, corrosion-resistant finish, aligning with modern design trends favoring clean, metallic looks. This piece reflects the mid-century or modernist style characterized by minimalism and the use of industrial materials for home decor. Such objects balance utility and aesthetics, serving as both functional holders and design statements in interior settings.
