Canon A-1 + New FD 50mm F1.4 – Professionally Serviced in Japan Single lens reflex camera (SLR)

The Canon A-1 is a groundbreaking 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) camera introduced in the late 1970s and renowned for being one of the first cameras to feature a fully programmed auto exposure mode alongside manual and aperture priority settings. This versatility made it a favorite among professional and enthusiast photographers aiming for creative control combined with convenience. The New FD 50mm f/1.4 lens bundled with this camera is a high-speed standard prime lens, allowing excellent performance in low light and strong subject separation due to its wide aperture. The FD lens mount was Canon's standard before the advent of the EF mount, and lenses like this are prized for their optical quality and solid mechanical construction. A professionally serviced camera from this era is ideal for those interested in film photography with reliable mechanical and electronic functions intact, offering a tactile, crafted photographic experience.
