FED -5 rangefinder film camera Analogue camera

The FED-5 is a classic rangefinder 35mm film camera produced in the Soviet Union during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Known for its robust construction and simplicity, the FED-5 offered an affordable yet capable option for analog photographers. Rangefinder cameras use a separate optical system to focus, allowing quieter operation and a different shooting experience compared to single-lens reflex cameras. The FED-5 is compatible with M39 or M42 mount lenses, which are favored by collectors and film enthusiasts for their vintage character and optical qualities. This camera holds significance as a piece of photographic history from the Eastern Bloc, offering medium complexity manual controls and a distinctive design appreciated by collectors and those interested in mechanical cameras.
