Italy. L. 500 e L. 200 Argento Proof 1991 - Flora e Fauna d'Italia (Cinghiale & Albero) (No reserve price)

The 1991 Italian 500 and 200 Lire silver proof coins depict Italy's rich flora and fauna, featuring the wild boar and a tree symbol respectively. Proof coins are struck with specially prepared dies and polished planchets to achieve a mirror-like finish and sharp details, aimed primarily at collectors. This 1991 series highlights Italy's natural heritage, combining artistry with numismatic craftsmanship. The inclusion of silver adds intrinsic value, making these coins desirable as collectible items. Such coins serve not only as legal tender but also as miniature works of art that celebrate the country's biodiversity and environmental themes within the context of its monetary issues.
