Leica Leica Meter MR Light meter

The Leica Meter MR is a vintage manual light meter designed to measure exposure accurately for photographers using Leica cameras or manual film cameras in general. Light meters like the Leica MR allow users to read reflected light intensity, facilitating correct exposure settings of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Before widespread integration of in-camera metering, external light meters were essential tools in achieving optimal image quality. Leica's meters are known for precision and durability, often used by professionals and serious enthusiasts. Although digital cameras now offer built-in metering, the Leica Meter MR remains a collectible and educational device illustrating photographic technical heritage.
