Mamiya-Sekor Replacement lens hoods 55mm/4.5, 180mm en 250mm Medium format camera

Mamiya-Sekor replacement lens hoods sized for 55mm f/4.5, 180mm, and 250mm lenses are specialized accessories designed to block stray light, reduce flare and ghosting, and protect lens front elements. Mamiya-Sekor is known for medium format camera lenses used primarily in medium format photography systems. The lens hoods correspond to different focal lengths and maximum apertures: 55mm f/4.5 typically represents a wide or standard lens, while 180mm and 250mm are telephoto lenses. Properly matched lens hoods ensure optimal shading and image quality while physically protecting the delicate glass of the lens. In medium format photography, controlling light entering the lens is crucial for achieving sharp, high-contrast images. Replacement hoods are important for maintaining the functionality of vintage or current Mamiya gear, especially as original parts may be lost or damaged over time. Photographers using medium format film or digital backs appreciate these hoods for their role in preserving image quality and equipment longevity.
