Mamiya-Sekor C 4.5/180mm Prime lens

The Mamiya-Sekor C 4.5/180mm is a prime telephoto lens known for its application in medium-format photography, particularly with Mamiya camera systems. Featuring a focal length of 180mm and a moderate maximum aperture of f/4.5, this lens is well-suited for portraiture, wildlife, and sports photography, where subject isolation and background compression are desirable effects. Mamiya lenses are recognized for their excellent optical quality, offering sharp images with pleasing color rendition and contrast. The 'Sekor' designation refers to Mamiya's proprietary line of lenses renowned among both amateur and professional photographers. While not as fast as prime lenses with wider apertures, the 4.5 aperture offers a balance between image brightness and lens size, often resulting in a lightweight design. This lens is typically manual focus and compatible with various medium-format cameras, making it a prized tool for enthusiasts of analogue photography and vintage camera gear.
