Nikon EM with Non-Ai NIKKOR-Q.C Auto 135mm F2.8 Single lens reflex camera (SLR)

The Nikon EM is a compact 35mm film single-lens reflex (SLR) camera introduced as an entry-level model, designed to make SLR photography more accessible. Paired with the Non-Ai NIKKOR-Q.C Auto 135mm f/2.8 lens, this setup provides a telephoto focal length suitable for portraiture and distant subjects, characterized by a pleasing depth of field and subject isolation thanks to the relatively fast f/2.8 aperture. Non-Ai (non-Aperture index) lenses predate Nikon's later automatic aperture indexing systems but are still valued by collectors and film enthusiasts for their optical quality. The EM body features aperture priority auto-exposure, simplifying shooting while retaining manual control possibilities. Such combinations offer users a glimpse into classic Nikon craftsmanship and film photography experience.
