NO RESERVE PRICE - Set of 3 spinning tops - Gasing - Spinning top - 2020+ - Indonesia

Spinning tops, known as "gasing" in Indonesia, are traditional toys with a rich cultural heritage in Southeast Asia. These tops are typically made from durable woods or other materials and are spun by hand, often during friendly competitions or communal entertainment. The skill involved in making a top spin for a long time lies in its balanced design, precise shaping, and weight distribution. Indonesian gasing are notable for their craftsmanship and often feature intricate carvings or painted designs that reflect local art styles and cultural symbols. Collecting or playing with gasing is not only a pastime but also a way to connect with traditional Indonesian culture and community practices. A set of three modern gasing from 2020 or later represents a continuation of this venerable tradition and may showcase contemporary adaptations in design or materials while maintaining the core spinning top mechanics that have fascinated players for centuries.
