Rochester Optical Co. Premo Senior - Large Format – Victor Shutter Working | Folding Analogue camera

The Rochester Optical Co. Premo Senior is a large format folding analogue camera distinguished by its Victor shutter and 5x7 plate size capability. Folding cameras were designed to be relatively portable despite their large format, with bellows that extend for focusing and collapse for storage. The Victor shutter integrated into the camera is a key mechanical feature allowing timed exposures critical for proper image capture on large format plates or film holders. Such cameras were popular in the early to mid-20th century among professional photographers needing high image resolution and detail, especially in portrait, landscape, and architectural photography. The Premo Senior is collectible today due to its craftsmanship and historical significance in photographic technology evolution.
