roger Coll - Sculpture, Happy Collapse orange - 27 cm - Stoneware - 2019

Roger Coll's 2019 stoneware sculpture titled "Happy Collapse Orange" is a contemporary ceramic artwork reflecting playful forms and vibrant color. Stoneware is a type of pottery fired at high temperatures, resulting in a hard, durable, and vitreous ceramic body ideal for sculptural pieces. Coll’s work often explores abstract figures and joyful expressions, and the use of bright orange glaze enhances the visual impact. Ceramic sculpture as an art form allows tactile exploration and dynamic expressions through varied shapes and finishes. This piece embodies modern artisan sculpture trends combining traditional ceramic techniques with avant-garde aesthetics. Collectors of contemporary ceramics appreciate such works for their individuality, craftsmanship, and vibrant artistic statements within domestic or gallery spaces.
