sculptural nephrite Freeform - Height: 72 cm - Width: 16 cm- 19000 g - (1)

Nephrite is a variety of jade renowned for its toughness and smooth, almost waxy texture that has made it a preferred stone for carvings and sculptures for thousands of years. This sculptural nephrite freeform piece stands tall at 72 cm, making it a striking decorative item that showcases the natural beauty and unique patterns of the stone. Nephrite forms through the metamorphism of serpentinite rocks and is mainly composed of calcium, magnesium, and iron-rich amphibole minerals. It typically appears in various shades of green but may also have creamy white and grey hues. Its fine texture and durability enable artisans to craft fluid, abstract shapes like this freeform sculpture. Collectors and enthusiasts appreciate nephrite both for its aesthetics and its historical use in tools, jewelry, and spiritual objects across many cultures, especially in East Asia and Oceania.
