Voigtländer Bergheil 6x9 Mirrorless camera

The Voigtländer Bergheil 6x9 mirrorless camera is a classic folding plate camera known for its large format medium format photography capabilities, producing 6x9 cm negatives that offer exceptional image quality and detail. Voigtländer, a historic German brand, is celebrated for its build quality and excellent optics. The Bergheil model features a bellows mechanism that allows the lens to extend from the camera body, enabling precise focusing and portability. Such cameras are prized by enthusiasts and collectors for their role in early 20th-century photography and their ability to produce finely detailed images with rich tonal gradation. While mirrorless by design in that it lacks a reflex mirror, it relies on a waist-level viewfinder for composing shots. The 6x9 format balances the benefits of larger negatives with manageable size, popular among landscape photographers and those exploring traditional film processes.
