Walt Disney - 1 Original preliminary drawing - Pluto - Pluto's White Elephant (Unproduced Short) - 1948

Pluto, Disney's iconic pet dog, has been a staple character since his debut in the 1930s. The original preliminary drawing from the unproduced short "Pluto's White Elephant" (1948) is a rare artifact from Disney's golden age of animation. Preliminary drawings are early sketches that outline character poses and scenes, crucial in the film development process. Since the short was never produced, such artifacts are especially rare and valuable, offering insight into creative directions and storytelling ideas that were explored but never realized. They shed light on Disney's animation planning, character design, and mid-century storytelling concepts.
