A Quiet Figure Beneath a Rainbow of Attention
A seated figure rests under a rainbow beam while floating eyes fill the darkness, exploring visibility, inwardness, and the space we give ourselves.
The picture holds two kinds of attention together. The many eyes suggest being seen, assessed, or noticed. The seated figure suggests an inward pause, a moment in which experience does not have to be performed for an audience. The rainbow connects the two spaces without explaining their relationship completely.
As an artwork, the scene leaves its symbols open. It does not need to describe a specific spiritual state. It can simply ask what happens when external attention becomes louder than our own sense of what we are experiencing.
When do you feel most able to rest without presenting a version of yourself? What makes that space possible? Look at the figure beneath the beam and imagine the difference between being visible and being fully available to every gaze. A pause can offer room to notice your own experience before deciding how much of it to share.
