Alessi - Jasper Morrison & Alejandro Ruiz - Cheese grater (2) - Thermoplastic resin & steel mirror polished - ''Pasta Set''

This Alessi cheese grater duo, designed by Jasper Morrison and Alejandro Ruiz, is part of the 'Pasta Set'—a collection emphasizing Italian culinary tradition with innovative design. Created with thermoplastic resin and mirror-polished steel, these graters merge durability and hygiene with elegant aesthetics. Thermoplastic resin offers lightweight and sturdy qualities, making the graters comfortable to handle and resistant to wear. The steel grating surfaces are highly polished to facilitate easy cheese shredding while being simple to clean, characteristics that also assure resistance to corrosion. Jasper Morrison, known for his minimalist design approach, and Alejandro Ruiz, recognized for functional artistry, collaborate to create utensils that are visually appealing yet highly practical. Cheese graters like these are essential in Italian cuisine for cheese types such as Parmigiano-Reggiano, enhancing dishes with freshly grated flavor. The inclusion of such well-designed graters in any kitchen appeals to those who appreciate a mix of craftsmanship, usability, and the celebration of food culture through design.
