Alessi - Stefano Giovannoni - Egg cup (2) - Cico - Thermoplastic resin

Alessi is a renowned Italian design company known for transforming everyday household objects into unique works of art, often through collaborations with prominent designers. The Cico egg cup, designed by Stefano Giovannoni, typifies Alessi's playful yet functional approach to kitchenware. Made from thermoplastic resin, this pair of egg cups is lightweight, durable, and exhibits smooth, rounded forms characteristic of Giovannoni’s whimsical design style. Egg cups are small vessels designed to hold a boiled egg upright while eating, and the Cico design adds a modern and artistic touch to this simple breakfast accessory. Beyond their practical use, these egg cups make for charming tableware that brightens everyday meals and appeals to collectors of contemporary kitchen design. The use of thermoplastic resin also illustrates the innovative materials Alessi embraces in marrying aesthetics with practicality.
