Traditional German beer mugs, or steinkrüge, are typically made from pottery or stoneware and are prized for their robust construction and often decorative glaze finishes. These vessels are designed to hold significant quantities of beer, reflecting longstanding beer culture in Germany where such mugs feature prominently in social and festive settings like beer gardens and Oktoberfest. Peltro refers to a type of pewter or metal accents sometimes used to enhance these mugs, adding durability and ornamentation.
