The Circle That Holds Our Contradictions
A winged figure, a great circular serpent, and paired celestial emblems explore the difficult balance of opposites.
The opposing sun and moon, light and dark surfaces, and contrasting birds suggest qualities that coexist within one life. Confidence can accompany uncertainty; tenderness can exist beside strength. The circular serpent gives these tensions a shared boundary, inviting reflection on how we hold complexity without demanding that every contradiction disappear.
Below, the vessels and branching tree connect transformation with patient cultivation. Their small, contained worlds echo the larger enclosure above. Flowers and flowing water soften the rigid geometry, adding reminders of growth, change, and the passage of time.
The artwork can be read as a portrait of integration. Its symbols do not establish hidden powers or a single universal message. Instead, they give the viewer a visual vocabulary for considering what feels divided, what seeks balance, and what might become possible when competing parts of the self are acknowledged.
